In 1972, the Catholic Bible Life Movement (CBLM) was founded, sowing the seeds of the Word within the Korean Church. Proclaiming the truth of the Gospel is a divine calling entrusted to us, a mission we are committed to fulfilling tirelessly until the end of time.
To faithfully uphold this mission of evangelization, the Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help established the Bible Research Department in 1992, dedicated to professional biblical studies. Building upon this foundation, the Bible Academy with Perpetual Help (BAPH) was inaugurated in 2004, further advancing scholarly research and deepening the Church’s engagement with the Word of God.

Purpose and Direction
The Bible Academy with Perpetual Help (BAPH) is dedicated to deepening biblical study for the proclamation of the Gospel. It develops and supports teaching materials to equip Servants of the Word with the necessary resources to continuously share the Good News—both through Scripture as a medium and by embodying the Word itself. In this mission, BAPH seeks to collaborate with all the Servants of the Word devoted to making God's Word incarnate in the world, as well as with the CBLM, providing essential support where needed.
In an era of rapidly evolving social structures and an overwhelming flow of new information, humanity is increasingly exposed to vast amounts of knowledge. Rather than resisting or fearing these changes, we must reflect upon them, integrate them, and discern, through Scripture, the wisdom to utilize them for the good of humanity and the work of salvation. With this hope and faith, the BAPH strives to proclaim the Word of God—who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life—to all those seeking eternal truth and authentic values in the modern world.
