37SPECIAL STORY Being part of this extraordinary group is a privilege and blessing. The sacrifice we make is small compared to the immense joy and fulfillment we gain from serving others. Trought this work, I have learned the true essence of selflessness and compassion. It is a continuous journey of giving and receiving love, support and kindness. I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of service, not only in the lives of those we help, but also within ourselves. It shapes us into better individuals, more attuned to the need of others and more grateful for our own blessings. Each time I participate in such volunteer work, I am acutely aware that it is not I who acts but God working through me. I am merely His instrument, and I am committed to serving for as long as He allows me. This commitment is not just a duty but a calling that fills my life with meaning and joy. In retrospect, volunteering in Villa El Salvador was not just about building a house; it was about building hope, resilience, and a sense of community. Each experience as a volunteer reaffirms my belief that we are called to serve, to uplift, and to share our blessings with those in need. Each mission offers me a unique opportunity for personal growth and spiritual development, I learn something new with every experience, gaining insights into myself, my faith, and the power of community. The house on the hill stands as a symbol of what we can achieved when people come together with a common purpose and shared sense of humanity. Volunteering continues to enrich my life, teaching me that with each mission, we could make the world a better place. May our efforts inspire others to serve and bring light to the lives of our brothers and sisters who need it most. I look forward to many more missions, each one a chance to grow, to give, and to be part of something greater than myself.
